Over £6 trillion is the figure from the Halifax that the the total value of UK private residential housing stock has exceeded in its latest report.

Since 2007 the UK’s housing stock was estimated by the Halifax to be worth a total of £4,077bn and has now over the next ten years risen to £6,015bn or over £6 trillion.

I’m looking at a property in auction and the Property Register contains the comment that the lease prohibits or restricts alienation.

Does this mean that it can not be let to tenants or simply that the lessor cannot abrogate his obligations by assigning them to a third party?
